XGen Network (XGN) is pleased to present a working version of a 5G Broadcast receiver profile which is needed now. It is a work in progress so is meant to be modified as needed. As we are well aware, 5G Broadcast is still in its infancy and new technological advances are being made with lightning speed. We must start somewhere, so XGN started the ball rolling, so we have a document to share with OEM’s.

The key requirements for 4G-LTE receivers as published by XGN are:

·      eMBMS enabled 

·      Android 13+ 

·      Band 108 (470 MHz – 698 MHz)  

·      Antennas optimized for band 108 

·      Network supported GSM/CDMA/LTE/5G

·      Application Privileges: Sideloaded APK installation allowed
